Österreichische Tourismustage postponed until May 2021

Over the course of the last few weeks, the situation regarding the coronavirus has aggravated all around the world. The organising team of the Österreichische Tourismustage (the Federal Ministry for Agriculture, Regions and Tourism, the Austrian Economic Chamber  and the Austrian National Tourist Office) has monitored these developments closely and has reached the decision to cancel the ÖTT in May 2020.
The next Österreichische Tourismustage will take place from 17 to 19 May 2021 in the Austria Center Vienna.

The organising team refers in particular to the government measures restricting social contacts in Austria as well as other countries. Even though enacted for a limited period of time, it can be assumed that especially larger events will not be permitted for the scheduled period of the Österreichische Tourismustage. Restrictions also result in comparable measures enacted by foreign authorities with the effect that people from these countries may not participate in the ÖTT or only participate by accepting unbearable (quarantine) restrictions upon their return to their home countries. In addition, numerous countries have issued travel warnings for Austria. Extensive entry restrictions have also been imposed by the Austrian government. With regard to these measures, it can be assumed that they will remain in force during the scheduled period of the ÖTT.

The organising team will contact partners, exhibitors, buyers and suppliers regarding the further procedures of investments and preparations which have already been carried out.

All exhibitors and buyers of ATB will be informed separately by the Austrian National Tourist Office. ANTO is currently evaluating the possibility of a virtual platform for ATB sales talks and will inform ATB participants once a final decision is taken in this regard.

We are already looking forward to the Österreichische Tourismustage 2021 and wish you good health,

the ÖTT team
